Sheep Story Time (Saturday)

Welcome Song: Hands Go Up and Hands Go Down
(to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star)
Hands go up and hands go down
I can turn around and round
I can hop upon two shoes
I can listen so can you
I can sit, I’ll show you how
Story time is starting now

Action Rhyme: Dancing Sheep
Shhh! It’s time to go to sleep (put finger to mouth)
But into my bedroom one sheep creeps.
“Don’t go to bed,” the one sheep said.
“I would rather dance instead!”

Soon he was … (draw these words out)
Dancing on the ceiling! (shake hands above head)
Dancing on the floor! (tap hands on floor)
He was dancing on the window! (shake hands to the right)
He was dancing on the door! (shake hands to the left)
(repeat several times getting faster each time)

“Stop that dancing, silly sheep! (shake finger)
It is time to go to sleep!” (lay head on hands)
Soon the sheep lay on the floor.
Soon the sheep began to snore. (make snoring sounds)

Wiggle: Dance Your Fingers Up
Dance your fingers up,
Dance your fingers down.
Dance them to the side,
And dance them all around.
Dance them on your shoulders,
Dance them on your head.
Dance them on your tummy,
And put them all to bed.

Wiggle Rhyme: Watch Out for the Bugs (to the tune of Jingle Bells)
Clap your hands, stomp your feet

Now sit down upon the floor
But watch out for the bugs!! (stamp out the bugs)
