Robot Story Time

First story time of the season! Yay!

I heard one of the teachers at my son’s daycare singing this to the kids as I was dropping him off and I loved it. One of my parents even commented that they really liked it after we sang it so we’ll keep it going for a few weeks and see how it does.

I’m pretty sure the kids didn’t get the concept of the robots shorting out in the rain and switching heads to get back to normal again but I think they still enjoyed this rhyming story.

Flannel: Five Shiny Robots

Scarves were such a hit at my summer building story times I decided to incorporate them into my fall sessions to see how they did. I think the kids really enjoyed them!

Song/Scarves: Popcorn Kernels (to the tune of Frere Jacques; sing each line twice)

In the pot. (make scarves ‘disappear’ by bunching them in their fists)
