Song: I’m Bringing Home a Baby Bumblebee
I’m bringing home a baby bumblebee,
Won’t my mommy be so proud of me?
I’m bringing home a baby bumblebee,
BUZZ, BUZZ, BUZZ, BUZZ, BUZZ!
I’m bringing home a baby dinosaur,
Won’t my mommy hide behind the door? (hide behind hands)
I’m bringing home a baby dinosaur,
CLOMP, CLOMP, CLOMP, CLOMP, CLOMP! (hit knees)
I’m bringing home a baby crocodile,
Won’t my mommy wear a great big smile? (point to face)
I’m bringing home a baby crocodile,
SNAP, SNAP, SNAP, SNAP, SNAP! (snap arms)
I’m bringing home a baby grizzly bear,
Won’t my mommy pull out all her hair? (pretend to pull out hair)
I’m bringing home a baby grizzly bear,
GROWL, GROWL, GROWL, GROWL, GROWL! (hold up paws)

Book: A New House for Mouse by Petr Horacek
My favorite apple book to share. A little mouse finds a juicy red apple but it doesn’t fit into her home. So she sets off to find a bigger home. And along the way she learns there’s no place like home. 🙂
Flannel: Apple Roll
Five little apples in the bowl, (hold up five fingers)
One fell out and started to roll. (roll hand over hand)
It fell off the table and hit my feet! (tap knees)
How many apples left to eat? (shrug shoulders and hold arms up)
// Count down to none //

Song/Puppet: Five Little Monkeys
Five little monkeys swinging from the tree,
Teasing Mr. Alligator, “You can’t catch me!”
Along comes Mr. Alligator, quiet as can be and …
SNAPS that monkey right out of that tree!
Four // Three // Two // One
But those monkeys are clever you see,
And they all found their way back to that tree!
Book: Little Apple Goat by Caroline Jayne Church
Little Apple Goat loves apples and pears and cherries. And she loves to spit the pits and seeds over the hedgerow. One winter a storm destroys the orchard. But that autumn fruit trees sprout up along the hedgerow! How did they get there? My little guys don’t always understand the science behind this book but I like to read it anyway. 🙂
Egg Shakers: Shake It by Sally’s Music Circle
Book: Apples and Pumpkins by Anne Rockwell; illustrated by Lizzy Rockwell
A little girl goes to the farm to pick apples and pumpkins with her parents. We have a ton of farms in this area so a lot of the kids had visited them and done the same thing as the little girl in the story so it was nice for them to see. This book ends with Halloween which they’re all very excited about.
